Limited Morning Places For 2-Year-Olds

Morning places for two-year-olds are now very limited, if you know of anyone with a two-year-old who is thinking about joining our nursery and who would want a morning/all day space, please advise them to contact us as soon as possible. It won’t be long before we can only off afternoon sessions to new families of 2-year-olds.

Mothers Day Creations

Your children have been working very hard on their Mother’s Day activities and these will be sent out this week.

Staff Achievement - Heidi

Heidi has almost completed her apprenticeship, she has completed all her work and has achieved her level 3 Diploma in Care and Education, she just now has her end point assessment exam and professional discussion to complete to finish her apprenticeship. We are all very proud of her. Well done, Heidi.

Early Talk Boost - Annabel

Annabel is working on completing the “I Can” child trackers to see who fits the criteria to join the Early talk boost scheme. Invitations for children meeting the criteria will be sent out once she has completed this stage.

World Book Day - Thursday 7 ^th March

Dress as your favourite book character £1 donation, small prize for best dressed.

Red Nose Day - Friday 15 ^th March

Red Nose Day Dress up as a granny or wear something red. £1 donation

Easter Egg Hunt - Wednesday 27th March and Thursday 28th March

Staff will be carrying out an Easter Egg Hunt with the nursery children.

End of Term - Thursday 28 ^th March

Nursery Re-opens - Monday 15 ^th April

Nursery 30 Hour Funding

Please make sure you re-confirm your details on your government childcare account every 3 months to enable the funding to continue. If you do not do this unfortunately, we have no choice but to charge you the full amount.

February 2024 Newsletter

Half Term is nearly here! Nursery closed 12 ^th – 16 ^th February.

Our email will be going down for a few hours on Friday 9 ^th February, hopefully after 3pm to enable us to move to a new platform.

After half term we will be looking at which children to include in our Early Talk Boost programme, this is to help support children aged 3-4 in developing vocabulary, extending communication, and supporting their attention and listening. It is a 9-week course in which three times a week, a small group of children will be taking part in two exciting activities, a song, and a story. We will be sending the stories home each week with the children to share them at home. During the 9 weeks the children will get to meet Jake and Tizzy who are part of our stories and making learning fun! If your child is selected to take part in the programme, you will be given an invitation and permission slip.

Lunchboxes

We are still seeing grapes either not cut or cut the wrong the way in lunchboxes, please be aware that these are a serious choking hazard for young children.

Grapes, cherry tomatoes, Olives etc must be cut lengthways into at least four pieces for nursery to avoid choking.

Chinese New Year

This half term your children have been learning about Chinese New Year, this year it is the year of the Dragon, if you go up to London at all to see the celebrations, please feel free to add any photos you take onto the Parent Portal .

Poorly Children

There is still a lot of illness going around, if your child has a high temperature, please keep them at home until it subsides.

Sickness and diarrhoea please remember children cannot attend nursery until they are 48 hours clear.
