Funding Options

Thorpe Nursery Preschool is pleased to be able to offer both the Funded Early Education 15 and 30 hours and FEET funded places to eligible children. There is a £3 per morning and £5 per whole day charge for consumables for 3 and 4 year old funded children.

For those children eligible for Funded Early Education funding of 15 or 30 hours a week it will be necessary to complete the Surrey County Council Free Early Education Registration Form before the first eligible term and then sign the declaration of attendance form each term.

For all 3 and 4 year old children entitled to up to 15 or 30 hours a week in the term after their 3rd birthday, for 15 hours the Nursery will supply the necessary application forms after a copy of the birth certificate has been shown to the Manager. For 30 hours you must apply one term in advance through Childcare Choices you will also need to reconfirm your details with them every 3 months to continue to receive the funding The nursery will require you to sign each term confirming the number of hours your child is attending the nursery each week. Without this form we will not receive the funding and the full amount will become chargeable to you. Any changes to the number of hours to be claimed will need a subsequent amendment form.

Families who are eligible for Funded Early Education for Two Year Olds (FEET) funding should make the Nursery aware of this when submitting a Registration Form or as soon after this as possible, once eligibility is confirmed. It is necessary to make an application to Surrey County Council directly and once a confirmation letter has been obtained the nursery manager will be pleased to discuss the hours required.

Thorpe Nursery Preschool offers Funded Early Education and FEET funded hours any time between 9am and 3pm each day. The day can start at 9.00am and afternoons at 12 noon. Sessions finish at 12pm, 1pm, 3pm.or 3.30pm.

The funded hours can be taken over any 3 days or more during the week subject to availability with a mix of full days, mornings or afternoons.

This entitlement may also be shared with another setting.

Any extra hours over and above the 15/30 hours will be chargeable at the current rate of £6.30 an hour. This includes 8.30am starts and 3.30pm finish.
